@byokop@OliverJia1014 No, I think from the context the dad presented himself in he put himself firmly as bad. The dad threw a temper tantrum and chucked the console out of the car, likely ruining it, to hurt his kid, then bragged about being childish online. I'd say he hits all the marks of sucking
3. You accomplished nothing for temporary satisfaction. Your kid will learn nothing from this except that you're cruel and can't be trusted with things he likes
4. That's littering, you schmuck. Go fucking pick it up.
He's a piece of shit to brag about being so childish. Let's break it down:
1. Unnecessarily cruel: if the kid was really into gaming he may have had hundreds of hours of work in those games
2. The dad threw a temper-tantrum and junked probably something he spent Hundreds on-
A dad has gone viral for throwing his misbehaving son's Nintendo Switch out of a moving car
He says it "felt pretty great" and his crying son "couldn't believe it"
My boy is 5 years old, working on reading skills. He asks me to read to him most nights before bed, usually monster truck or dinosaur books. When school starts up, I'm gonna start reading him a chapter of The Magic Treehouse every night after dinner. Get him started strong
@TomCafeConLeche I don't read like I used to (unfortunately), but books are incredibly based. It's hard to overstate how hard a well-written book can hit. Not every book is for everybody, but they're a great time and healthy for your mind!
@Project_TBONE I've never read The Hobbit, but most people I know that have read it did so when they were kids in like middle school. I ate up 300+ page books, though. When kids find a book they enjoy page count becomes irrelevant lol. They're in it for the love of the game
I know it's a different medium but I love wordy RPGs, even since I was a kid. I feel like part of my love for them came from my love of reading. Some RPGs have more words than some books lol. I love extrapolating themes and motifs, tearing it apart to see what's under the hood!
Gonna weigh in on this and say its not uncommon. I read children's books around or over this length all the time as a kid. Percy Jackson, Artemis Fowl, etc. I also read adult novels by Tom Clancy and Stephen King in middle school, which were a lot longer. Kids read what they like
14. Gundam ZZ
7/10
I really like ZZ, but not as much as Z. I think Judau is a fun protag, and the Neo Zeon soldiers are great villains (Mashymre, my beloved). There are aspects I think are the best in UC I've seen, and there are parts I think less of. Still a great watch!
13. Project Hail Mary
10/10
This may be my favorite Ryan Gosling film. It's a brilliant mix of doomed Sci-Fi, power of friendship, and indomitable human spirit. I shed tears. One of my favorite sci-fi films I've ever seen. Highly recommend
I didn't read Harry Potter as a kid. I read the first book and DESPISED how Rowling writes lol. I did read full-length Tom Clancy novels (Rainbow Six, 740 pages. Without Remorse, 639 pages. Etc)
Sony announced them killing off physical games with a tweet and a blog post like it was some regular Wednesday, expecting people will be mad for a bit and move on.
And now the backlash has gotten so big itโs being covered by mainstream news outlets.
DONโT LET UP, DONโT SHUT UP.
Love how companies don't understand that the more expensive your item is, the less of it you'll sell. You ain't getting 140 or 160 bucks out of regular people to buy essentially the same game twice for a few version exclusives. That's beyond delusional
Retail stores saw record low pre-order numbers for the GTA 6 code in a box version.
This is literally going to kill retail gaming.
Completely cutting out the middleman is pretty wild and also cutting off the ability for the game to be sold secondhand.
Lots of stores saw single digit pre-order numbers.
And a lot of them just wonโt survive. This game was meant to be the catalyst for them.
