Unveiling @dpropulse's latest 5 kilonewton (kN) plus rotating detonation engine (RDE) combustor integrated with an aerospike nozzle. The aerospike nozzle is of course a natural fit for the annular geometry of the RDE combustor, besides conferring significant benefits in terms of automatic altitude compensation, compactness & structural optimization. And yes, this combustor iteration is much lighter than earlier ones.
