@DBashIdeas The year was 2006. Darkaynu's first year at @inthegush and the Year Rav Lichtenstein ztl was out with an injury when a new student sat in Rav Lichtenstein's seat. The hanhalla left him there for weeks....
How do you know when you've truly left your mark? When strangers draw strength from your story....
Like a star, we so often don't perceive a person's light until after they are gone.
Saadya's story seems to have just begun.
Sorely missed and everpresent.

David Yahav, Yonah "JJ" Goldstein, Saadya Ehrenpreis z"l, and Menachem Aharon "Ari" Wallach were all in OTS' @darkaynu, the special needs program housed by Gush.
Proud of all these young men!
In the 4 years he spent in the program, Saadya managed to capture the heart of every single person he met. His infectious, constant smile & sense of humor made him a role model to others & a reminder to be happy & appreciative of every day. He is already sorely missed. @darkaynu
BDE Heartbroken to learn of the passing of Saadya Ehrenpreis beloved student @ohrtorahstone's Elaine & @NormBrodsky@Darkaynu Program (2007-2010). Quick w' a smile Saadya had a heart of gold. He spoke at last year's OTS dinner & remained active w' the Darkaynu family -we miss him
Our hearts are broken. Saadya, z"l, was in the inaugural cohort...and three more years. Our students built our institution. Darkaynu will certainly be part of Saadya's eternal legacy.
יהא זכרו ברוך
With numbing shock and profound sadness, I am sorry to share news of our dear friend Saadya’s passing. May his memory be a bracha and yeshua for us all. Baruch Dayan Emes. #MakorCollegeExperience@YUNews
Yesterday, we hosted the Midreshet Lindenbaum Overseas Program & Elaine & @NormBrodsky@darkaynu for a Rosh Chodesh breakfast. I noted that by marking months, we are reminded that we calibrate our calendar & priorities, sanctifying time to ensure we use it wisely. @ohrtorahstone
