The antitrust lawsuit against Steam is now a class action, and that could have big repercussions for Valve https://t.co/fyXZyfN82R

The Steam antitrust lawsuit has expanded into a class action, now including anyone who has paid Valve's 30% commission since 2017. The plaintiffs argue Valve's practices harm consumers and stifle competition. Wolfire and Dark Catt lead the case.
"I believe that Valve is taking away gamers' freedom to choose how much extra they are willing to pay to use their platform," Wolfire founder David Rosen said at the time.

Notable: Wolfire & Dark Catt's antitrust suit against Steam has been certified as a 'class action', with 'all Steam devs who got paid out since 2017' now part of the eligible group: https://t.co/4vtL48qW0m (Doesn't mean the lawsuit succeeded, but it's an important milestone.)
We are proud to represent the community and we hope to stop @Steam@valvesoftware from doing to other #gamedev#indiedev#IndieGameDev what was done to us in 2020 @pcgamer We will share details as the case allows

Just In: President Biden will sign an executive order today taking aim at industries where a handful of powerful players dominate the market. There are also plans to restore net neutrality rules. It's the first step in what the he hopes will be a new era of antitrust enforcement.
We really hope the truth will come out. If the courts allow & @valvesoftware@steam releases us from our #nda we will share with you what we have (communications, contracts, screenshots, etc)We have nothing to hide. Thank you all for the support, it means more than you ever know!
The past year was a real challenge when @steam@ValveSoftware removed our debut game @djinniandthaco with no explanation after we reported fraud and asked for an audit/ investigation of Steam Keys/ manipulation. They said we needed a subpoena for answers. #indiedev#vr
We never wanted to sue. We found that @valvesoftware@steam had control over most PC market competitors; they had control over our pricing/ value and every other developer on contract; raising prices on consumers & choking sales on places like @humble@GreenManGaming via keys
