Entre Sony y Rockstar, queda demostrado que la industria del gaming necesita una buena limpieza.

RECAP on how Sony ruined this generation, and likely the next won’t be any better🚀

😱7 studios acquired since 2020
😡8 already shut down

❌Acquired Bluepoint and failed to let them produce a single game since the acquisition in 2021, the shut them down in 2026

❌Acquired Haven in 2022 and hasn’t provided any meaningful updates on Fairgame$

❌Acquired Firewalk Studios in 2023 and ended up with Concord aka. the greatest disaster in gaming and shut down the studio in 2024

❌Acquired Bungie for $3.6B in 2023, which only led to layoffs and delaying Marathon due to plagiarism and a disappointing first reveal, and now significantly reducing employees

❌Shutdown London Studio in 2024 am cancelled their yet to be revealed live service game

❌Shut down Neon Koi

❌Now seeks to end physical video games, along with the second hand market player options and ownership by January 2028

🗑️Spider-Man: The Great Web Multiplayer
🗑️Bend Studio’s live service game
🗑️Bluepoint’ God of War live service
🗑️Jim Ryan had 12 live service games planned to be out by 2026, only Helldivers II was released and succeeded, the rest were all either cancelled before release or shut down shortly after like Concord

They ruined an entire generation and the hard work of thousands of talented people for nothing, and only talented studios paid the price for the egocentrism of the clueless execs.

And now they seek to end physical games out of greed and the desire to start a monopoly, which they were too cowardly to start alone and waited for Rockstar to announce their GTA6 as digital only/code in the box to feel brave to announce it

If you actually care, you’d acknowledge this, because earning profits does NOT necessarily equals ethics, morals and respect for art and audiences.

PlayStation 6 is not gonna be better than this, especially when it’s speculated to cost ~$1000

They’ve shown their true colors for the past 6 years. Stop the cap, respect yourself and your own money and vote for physical games to stay and true digital game ownership.

It’s really sad watching Sony destroy its own legacy and reputation before our eyes🚀

For as long as I’ve been gaming, Sony PlayStation was always synonymous with gaming and fun, and yet somehow this generation was a colossal disappointment, and ending physical games is the nail in the coffin

✅Abysmal first party line-up
✅Barely any innovation
✅Risk-averse development
✅Little communication
✅Condescending attitude towards fans
✅Pushing for live service and failing
✅Acquiring studios, including Bungie, and then shutting many down, or producing nothing of value even years later

And now the future with PS6 looks like:

✅Speculated overpriced ~$1000 console
✅Likely years of cross/gens like PS5
✅No ownership
✅No physical discs
✅Potentially higher prices
✅A monopoly is seemingly in the making
✅Region locked codes in boxes
✅Playing at the mercy of a digital storefront and its network capabilities, customer support and “access” that can end at any time without compensation

I don’t think there’s a way back for Sony to earn back the respect they’ve lost, no matter what they do with PS6.

Unless they overturn the decision against physical games, fire their CEOs and apologize, and maybe even then many people will still feel skeptical because they really showed us who they are, and there’s no “sorry” to undo seeing the truth.

And this doesn’t make me happy, because a staple in gaming, whether it makes money or not, has lost its untouchable status and near universal respect and love, with their own hands.

Change isn’t gonna happen if you’re gonna only sign petitions or stop playing for a short while🚀

Do those, but extend that into:

✅Not buying digital
✅Buying physical games
✅Unsubscribe from PS+
✅Keep speaking up

You have until January 2028

❌Nintendo thought they’d always be on top
❌Xbox thought they’d always be on top

Now PlayStation thinks they’re invincible and their fans will come along

Prove them wrong, and pay no attention to the snakes in the media, they are Sony’s sock puppet.

Los objetivos de Sony:

➡️ Romper con el panorama gamer actual.
➡️ Eliminar el mercado de segunda mano.
➡️ Eliminar el formato físico del todo tras instaurar el CIAB.
➡️ Despojar a la gente de su derecho a la tinencia para revender los mismos juegos con cada nueva plataforma.
➡️ Recortar gastos a costa de dejar sin trabajo a medio sector, obligando a cerrar filales y retailers que dependen del físico.
➡️ Centralizar sus servicios e instaurar un monopolio digital en la PlayStation Store.
➡️ Inflar todos los precios una vez instaurado.

Y todo esto mientras faltan al respeto a usuarios, filiales, desarrolladoras y retailers con políticas anti-consumidor, engaños, manipulaciones de todo tipo y puro corporativismo de manual.

⚠️ Esto no va solamente de salvar al formato físico y afecta tanto a usuarios del físico como a los del digital.

➡️ Va de proteger nuestro hobbie, su futuro y la integridad de toda la cadena, sus servicios y sus trabajadores.
➡️ Va de impedir que corporaciones y empresarios que nada tienen que ver con nuestro medio se adueñen y expriman nuestra cultura y arte.
➡️ Va de no dejarles que destruyan todo con tal de llenarse los bolsillos.
➡️ Va de recuperar un trato digno como consumidores y nuestro derecho a la tinencia como dueños de lo que compramos.
➡️ Va de que nos devuelvan todas las opciones del formato físico que han mermado durante años, en preparación a lo que están haciendo actualmente.

Esto es lo que realmente importa y da igual la plataforma y el formato en el que juguéis, si sois gamers, esto os afecta a todos.

⚠️ Solo hay una forma de proceder para frenar esto.

Que sus márgenes caigan hasta lo más hondo y sus accionistas les abandonen.
De esta forma la situación en la empresa virará, tendrán que destituir a la actual dirección corporativista por otra con estándares distintos, cambiar sus políticas, restituir servicios y redireccionar la empresa hacia un panorama mucho más amistoso para nosotros.

➡️ Esto solo lo lograremos si seguimos haciendo ruido en sus redes, si no consumimos ninguno de sus productos, si nos desuscribimos de sus servicios y no ven ni un céntimo por nuestra parte.
- Hay opciones para seguir jugando, como comprar juegos de segunda mano. De esta forma no les llega nada y se puede seguir jugando tranquilamente.
- Comprar físicos nuevos solo les da budget para seguir operando. Los empresarios y los accionistas solo entienden de márgenes y esquemas y de la única forma que reaccionarán es si TODOS ellos están al rojo vivo.

Este es el mejor resumen que os puedo hacer, espero que os sirva a todos y podáis informar a todo el mundo como se debe sobre lo que está en juego.
