"Even if my memories are all far away, they are all I have..."
An immortal ultimate lifeform created purely as a weapon of destruction turned different.
He's back here again.
This place is still empty...like he last left it.
The memories from that other dimension was...bewildering.
But those are the only things he can hold on to, that remain of value.
"Then why aren't you keeping up with a steady pace? This isn't even a race."
He's not believing her one bit. This one is not going to survive out there, not without him at the very least.
"And that's why you're not ready. If you can barely keep up with me at this slow pace, then you won't survive outside of your universe."
And he was true to his words, he was barely even using much of his speed. This version of Rose must have been too relaxed.
"T-thats because I'm not used to this!!"
But she knew complaining would only make things worse, so she stopped and just focused on trying to speed up and catch up to him
"You're barely able to keep up with me and I'm not even trying to speed up, Not to mention you're tiring out easily..."
Something he never expected from the pink hedgehog. He's known many of them to handle themselves well. This one was....clumsy.
"Then you are not ready to be outside your world. And you're not ready for the things that are lurking outside your universe."
Somehow that felt so eerie from the way he expressed that statement to her...
If she was still here and alive, maybe these two could have become friends. Best friends perhaps.
"Don't thank me. Just focus on what you need to do. Improve your prowess. That's what matters."
She didn't owe him anything. The dark hedgehog is only here to make this place safe.
Of course he doesn't make much further comments than that. Whatever was running through his head was kept to him and him alone.
Either way he doesn't seem to let that get to him, as he was always and supposed to be, focusing on the task at hand.
"Don't mind that."
--
Her smile carries warmth, like sunlight slipping through leaves, quiet, but impossible to ignore. And when she stares, it’s with a calm, steady gaze that sees more than most ever notice. There is her smile that no one can take away from her.
"𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒘!"
what was suppose to matter.
The smile emanating from her, being grateful towards him. It really almost felt like a reflection. So close. Yet different. He could mistake her for the girl he remembered long ago.
But he knows that really isn't her. But someone similar to her.
--
Crimson orbs focus on the brunette now.
They were not the same person, they are two different people and yet...they are so similar in that regard.
A small sigh escapes his lips. Able to gain his composure.
"You know this road would be difficult. Are you prepared for that?"
"...What?"
An arch of his eyebrow at her question, he definitely heard it, he's usually very observant so it wasn't misheard.
"Hmmm..."
True. She's not exactly completely polished in her prowess but what he witnessed earlier, she could have potential.
--
"...!"
His eyelids widened, his memories flooded through his mind before he snaps out of it, a few panting of his breath, realizing his back to reality.
Finding the light. He wasn't that. But he could definitely make sure the others were not in the same boat as him...
a lot of things that concerns her. If anything, he was never that close with anyone at all.
Nevertheless, he seemed to entertain her approach, as he walked over by a tree, to lean his back unto it, crossing his arms and waiting for her to extend her question.
Crimson orbs continue to survey her expression, motioning around her figure right after.
Even though she doesn't give much of an answer, he could already tell the main center cause of it. It being...
"G.U.N. Everyone knows about them. Especially someone who got involved."
--
A stranger anymore. Well, neither a friend. For her, it was someone that she knew could trust for a moment. At this one and only moment.
"..."
No words were added, just a little question. A question that is waiting for the next question to be asked right away.
Knowing full well where it lies, he may have already all the answers for her reasonings. Just not the answers as to why she keeps quiet about it.
"A huge favor? What favor?"
As opposed to her, the hedgehog doesn't know her all that much, even though he's able to pinpoint --
Then he shifts his focus up to the sky.
"No ordinary person would have such prowess like that. And not to mention it's very similar to that of...G.U.N."
Crimson orbs suddenly motioned their glare towards the ginger haired girl.
"Even a civilian would be able to tell that."
--
After she took the gun from him, he moved over to the field, specifically where the sack for a training dummy was.
He raised his fist before hitting the side of the sack, emitting a loud audible thud.
"If you have time to mope around, then you have time to improve."
--
She had to ask him. How could he tell? That this woman was from the military.
"How could an individual like you know about this stuff. I thought I was save in this world..."
Her expression turned into anger.
"I was so naive. I thought I wouldn't hear about this again."
He diverts his gaze away from the woman, gazing forward towards the rows of trees in the forest.
"Don't thank me. Just remain focused. Do not lose it."
And then the question was thrown towards him. For a while he stood there, so still that one could mistake him for a statue. --
