RE: Technoblade being roleplayed by a YouTuber.

This is horrifying, and I do not see it ending well.

“I only answer to him” is an incredibly unfair position to put Technodad in. He is grieving, and any answer he gives carries major consequences.

If he says yes, it could encourage thousands of others to do the same, creating even more pressure to accept this as normal. If he says no, he is forced to publicly confront someone using his dead son’s identity. He should never have been put in that position.

And a future “rebrand” for the YouTuber would not fix this. If you build an audience by roleplaying a dead creator, then change your name once the backlash becomes too much, you still used that person’s identity, fame, and fanbase to grow your own platform. From the outside, it looks like an attempt to become a pseudo-replacement for the real Technoblade.

I knew Alex before he had an audience. He helped us during the early days of Hypixel, spent time talking with our team, and was simply a good human being. He was the only creator we ever held a ceremony for when giving out YouTube rank. I also made videos with him, something I rarely did over the past 15 years.

The week I learned that Technoblade passed away was also the week my first son was born. I remember holding my newborn and thinking about Alex (Technoblade), and telling my son that one of my friends had just died. That is how personal and painful this is for me.

So yes, I am upset and angry. Watching someone roleplay as our dead friend while showing so little regard for his family, friends, and legacy is deeply disturbing. The leaked chats make it even worse. I have seen more than has already been shared.

To me, this does not look like a tribute. It looks like exploitation. I can only imagine how the people closest to Alex are feeling right now.

Salut tout le monde,

Bon vous avez peut-être vu passer ma tronche pas mal de fois ces derniers jours sur les réseaux ou à la télé, suite à une interview dans laquelle j'ai donné mon ressenti en sortie de projection sur L'Abandon, film qui traite des derniers jours de Samuel Paty, professeur lâchement assassiné à la sortie de son collège.

Avant toute chose, je tiens à redire, comme lors de mon interview, que Samuel Paty est un martyr, sa mort est un véritable drame et je n'ai jamais manqué de respect ni tourné en ridicule sa personne.

Lors de cette vidéo, je parle de MON ressenti sur le film, le message qu'il renvoyait et le danger qu'il représentait, SELON MOI, dû au fait qu'il dresse des archétypes fantasmés et caricaturaux, notamment sur les personnages musulmans du film, et que c'était dangereux, surtout à un an des élections présidentielles et avec des discours d'extrême droite omniprésents dans le débat public.

On peut ne pas être d'accord avec mon avis, en débattre, mais ce n'est pas ce qui intéresse l'extrême droite.
Au fil des jours, ils ont instrumentalisé ma critique, déformé mes propos, et m'ont attribué des paroles qui n'étaient pas les miennes. À la radio on dit que j'insulte Samuel Paty et que je lui fais subir une "nouvelle mort", à l'Assemblée Nationale un député dit que j'ai "ricané de la mort de Samuel Paty", un eurodéputé d'ED dit que j'ai "tourné en dérision la mort de Samuel Paty", et encore, je cite pas CNews.

Cela fait maintenant une semaine que je subis une campagne d'harcèlement de masse, que je reçois des centaines de messages racistes, d'insultes, de menaces de mort, de doxx et j'en passe. Des partisans et surtout des médias d'extrême droite ont choisi les mots qu'ils voulaient entendre et m'en ont attribué d'autres, répétant partout des mots qui ne sont pas les miens, tandis que tout le long de l'interview je n'ai parlé que du film et de ce qu'il renvoyait.

Je ne compte même plus le nombre de passages à Europe 1 ou CNews où ils ont rabâché le sujet en me qualifiant "d'abruti", de "racaille" et j'en passe, tout en extrapolant ce que j'ai pu dire pour me désigner comme une "menace".

C'est là la méthode bien rodée de l'extrême droite, la désinformation de masse en continu, manipuler la parole d’une personne racisée pour créer la peur chez les français. Aujourd'hui c'est moi mais avant c'était Billy, Joël, ou toute autre personne qui ont osé sortir du carcan dans lequel ces gens veulent nous cantonner, pour nourrir leur agenda discriminant.

Jamais un avis sur un film ne devrait mener à une campagne de haine, encore moins à un tel niveau, ni à recevoir des messages d'une telle violence en continu pour avoir jugé une oeuvre, et uniquement une oeuvre.

Merci à tous ceux qui ont pu me soutenir malgré leur intimidation constante, cela ne me découragera pas d'exprimer mon avis, bien au contraire.

I normally don't respond to stuff like this. When I see negative posts from people who have no idea what its like to live a life with PI. There are so many people out there living with primary immune deficiency. So many people who cannot leave their homes or their beds. So many people who struggle to find a normal life struggle to do the most basic human things.

I got lucky enough to have a community that supported me. They helped me crawl out of a deep hole that I feared I could never get out of. Without them I would not be here today. I also got lucky to have found such a wonderful friend who isn't afraid to do cringe silly stuff that may seem weird to some but to me it means the world. Now I am finally able to do things I never thought I would ever get to do.

If i can just give one person with my disease or any other debilitating illness out there a bit of hope and a bit of happiness. I am happy. Please know you are not alone and somehow you too can find a way to take back your life and live your life your way. Donate plasma if you can and support the @immunedeficienC if you can.
