@ManaByte@jojoko I am taking a wild guess and saying that people buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo first-party games and not third-party games; I do not like the idea of key cards, but as long as it does not permeate their first-party stuff, they will have me as a customer.
@pnwguerrilla I live here too, and Iโm trying to get out for a while. Itโs ridiculous how local government has turned the Second Amendment into a pay-to-exercise privilege.
@nw_wolfrunner@ThatLineGuySky There are also nepotistic workplaces and a lack of opportunities to move up and earn a decent wage, old timers not wanting to teach tricks of the trade to the younging just for them bring indian and train their replacements ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
@aStephenKing@bennyjohnson Built the world weโre living in, then pulled up the ladder, privatized the profits, socialized the losses, and told everyone younger to stop buying avocado toast. Truly the greatest generation at taking credit. ๐
@StevenMelGringo@bennyjohnson You guys have built such wonderful infrastructure, but unfortunately, all of you who currently sit in Congress and in the Senate have run the establishment into the ground, both Republicans and Democrats alike.
@dinghummer@bennyjohnson imagine being asked what your generation has contributed to society and responding with a strangerโs fictional coming-out story. ๐ When you canโt defend the argument, I guess you attack the imaginary biography. Thanks for proving the point.
At this stage of the game, I donโt see a viable solution other than abolishing it. We shouldโve invested that 12.4% payroll tax instead of pretending the system could run indefinitely. Either the U.S. eventually defaults and the dollar suffers a major loss of value, or Social Security collapses under its own weight by 2030. We can thank the Boomers for that one. I will not be a slave to anyone. Unless the Lord says so, I believe He has not.
