there is a particular kind of chaos that only the internet can manufacture, and 2025 handed us a masterclass in it.
a drill song called Doot Doot dropped in December of 2024, half forgotten within weeks, until an editor paired its
"six seven"
hook with highlight clips of LaMelo Ball, a man who happens to stand exactly six foot seven.
that alone should have been the entire lifespan of the joke.
instead, a kid at a basketball game got caught on camera screaming the phrase with the kind of unfiltered joy only children still have access to, and the internet, sensing blood, ran with it until it stopped being a joke and became a genuine cultural event.
by autumn, @Dictionarycom had crowned "six seven" its official Word of the Year, an interjection with no fixed meaning that somehow still communicated something real every time someone shouted it.
In-N-Out Burger, of all institutions, removed the number sixty seven from their ordering system entirely after mobs of teenagers began erupting into cheers whenever an order ticket happened to land on it.
teachers banned the phrase mid lesson. South Park wrote it into an episode.
a high schooler nicknamed Mr. 6-7 launched his own canned water brand off the strength of a viral Starbucks review.
somewhere along the way, the meme mutated into an analog horror character called SCP-067, because apparently even nonsense needs a villain arc eventually.
what actually makes six seven fascinating, beneath the noise, is that it never meant anything and never needed to.
most memes carry at least a flicker of a punchline. This one succeeded purely as vibration, a burst of shared energy passed from one person to the next with no destination required.
the English hierarchy own lexicographer put it better than I could, calling it one of the first Words of the Year that functions less like a phrase and more like a feeling people perform together.
and naturally, because we live extremely online lives on Crypto Twitter, the meme did not stay confined to TikTok for long.
within weeks, half a dozen different $67 and $67 tokens appeared across the $TON ECOSYSTEM,
C / A : EQDTBhs52jXA9S7P3xuSvCohgYqbklQdJQLQ98A3Nld7QNMP
most with barely any liquidity, several already flagged as effectively untradeable.
this is the part of internet culture nobody warns you about early enough.
the moment something becomes a genuine cultural phenomenon, CT treats it less like a joke worth laughing at and more like a ticker worth squatting on, usually before the meme itself has even finished cresting.
@sixsevenapp didn't ask to become a financial instrument. It became one anyway, the same way every viral moment eventually does now, less a punchline and more a pump waiting to happen.
maybe that's the real punchline in all of this.
a meme with no fixed meaning became, briefly, the closest thing the internet had to a shared language, and crypto still found a way to price it before anyone finished laughing.

In case you witness an active seizure.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO👇
1. Do not put a finger or spoon in their mouth.
2. Do not restrain them by trying to pin their legs and arms down.
3. Do not try to stop the seizure.
4. Never give food or drink during or immediately after the seizure.
You could break their teeth, obstruct their airway, and lose a finger.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO 💯
Your priorities should be safety and observation.
☄️ Time it started (Timing matters: seizure lasting more than 5 minutes requires medical emergency 🚨)
☄️ Clear the area: move furniture and sharp objects away from them.
☄️ Protect their head with a pillow or folded cloth.
☄️ Turn them on their side to avoid aspiration during vomit 🤮
