OMG I’M CRYING 😭 Olivia’s mom’s message has me in tears 🥹❤️
🗣️: Thank you so much, Jimin. She is my daughter. She loves you so much, and I love you too
🗣️: Thank you, BTS, for giving her such beautiful and warm moments. She and the other children were so excited. They were holding your gift and wouldn’t let go of it, staying up until 3 a.m. before finally falling asleep.
🗣️: She and her friends are all little cancer-fighting angels. Last year, they didn’t have many opportunities to go out while receiving treatment, but this time, Heroes For Children and Children’s Health Plan invited them to BTS because they are also your fans.
🗣️: They know so many of your songs! They should have been asleep by 9 p.m., but they stayed up waiting for you, hoping to sing ‘Butter’ with you until the very end! ❤️❤️😍😍😂😂👏👏
LMAOO OKAY.
I genuinely find the idea that “BTS could never be bigger than Taylor Swift” RIDICULOUS. She is a decent artist and one of the biggest artists of her generation. That isn't in question. But if we're talking about global scale and cultural impact, why is it so difficult to acknowledge that BTS can surpass her in MANY areas?
We're talking about seven boys who came from a struggling, unknown Korean company, with little to no industry backing, singing primarily in Korean, who went on to build a worldwide audience and sell out stadiums across continents.
They didn't have the advantage of being born into the world's biggest English-speaking music market. They didn't have an established industry machine behind them. They built the machine themselves. They turned a struggling company into one of the world's biggest entertainment companies and created a global phenomenon largely on the strength of their music, artistry and community.
And then there's the music itself. BTS' discography is filled with complex songwriting, layered narratives, social commentary, conceptual projects and an artistic identity they've developed over more than a decade.
Taylor is incredible. I have enormous respect for what she's accomplished.
But “Is BTS anywhere near Taylor?” Yes. Absolutely. In some areas, BTS have already surpassed her.
love seeing kpoppies being miserable lol. no one's stopping y'all's artists from submitting their work. not bts's fault that they have spine and dignity 🤷🏽♀️
Knetz & Iocals are cursing the living sh1t outta the Grammys rightnow. Everybody who's anybody is supporting BTS, ridiculing the new asian pop category and infact demanding the K-pop industry to follow BTS's footsteps. With the way things are going, any K-pop Act who submits to the Grammys after this is at a risk of public backlash and become a permanent disgrace in their own country.
