I am so incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of my friend Mandisa. I will always cherish the memories of times we spent together hosting award shows, going on tour, and most of all helping her tell her story in the songwriting room. The first song she released after appearing on American Idol Was a song we wrote called “Only the World” and the lyrics hit different right now…
Heaven is a place
Where the tears on every face will be wiped away
Oh and I can't wait to go
But for now, it's enough to know
This is only temporary
This is only
Yes it's only the world I'm living in
It's only today I've been given
There ain't no way I'm giving in
'Cause it's only the world
I know the best is still yet to come
'Cause even when my days in the world are done
There's gonna be so much more than only the world for me
I want to leave Matthew Perry’s own words here as the way we remember him. There will never be another like him- he lit up so many hearts in so many ways. Godspeed to Paradise!
Women of the faith, you get to have your own relationship with Jesus and love him with your whole MIND as well as your heart and soul and you dang well can study theology without permission from a man. This has gotten so bizarre. Go ahead. Knock yourself out with insulting replies. You religious misogynists are so far gone from Christ’s example in regard to women that I’m entirely unbothered by your opinion.
“In one of the most notable moments in sports history, Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped thinking he had completed the race.
A Spanish athlete, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him, and after realizing what was happening, he started shouting at the Kenyan for him to continue running; but Mutai didn't understand his Spanish.
Fernandez eventually caught up to him and instead of passing him, he pushed him to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?"
Ivan replied, “My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win.” The journalist insisted “But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win.” The journalist insisted again, “But you could have won!”Ivan looked at him & replied, “But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of that medal?
What would my Mom think of that?”
Values are transmitted from generation to generation.
What values are we teaching our children?
Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways to WIN.”

@CaesarsPalace I've never seen worse customer service or hospitality. Today, would you like to talk about housekeeping that walked into our suite at 10 am even though we have a late checkout at 4 pm? AND the no service light was on. I get why you want me to PM you. I'd be embarrassed too.

We ask the Lord for many things, but how often do we forget to ask him for what is most important and what he desires most to give us: the Holy Spirit, the power to love. Indeed, without love, what can we offer to the world?
The Magi defy Herod. They teach us that we need a courageous faith that is not afraid to challenge the sinister logic of power, and become seeds of justice and fraternity in societies where many Herods, even today, continue to slaughter the poor and innocent. #Epiphany
