As the dust (or should I say rain) settles on DRF 2026 it certainly wouldn't be 1 i will forget for a while. A huge thanks to everyone who helped make it the success it was from the whole team @LeopardstownRC & staff from @ihrb_ie@HRIRacing@punchestownrace
We regret to inform you that following an inspection from the IHRB this morning, the track was deemed unfit for racing, owing to adverse weather conditions, and today’s meeting is being transferred to Bank Holiday Monday, 2nd of February.

Leopardstown Update- Sat 31
Following inspection, Leopardstown Racecourse is currently fit to race. With 10–20mm of rain forecast overnight, a precautionary inspection will take place tomorrow at 8am.
If deemed unfit, racing moves to Monday, February 2.

Following a dry & breezy 24 hours, @LeopardstownRC is now soft to heavy (Hurdle) & yielding to soft (Chase). Revised forecast from Met Éireann is now 35-40mm (approx) of rain prior to racing.
An update from Leopardstown this evening.
Huge credit to our track team who worked tirelessly today. Thanks to their work, water pumps and local drainage, the water has nearly all cleared.

Following a live simulation of raceday medical practice and entrapment protocols, as well as the IFHA Chair's Address from Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges, Day 1 of #ICHSWJ concluded with a panel on Minimum Riding Weights: Towards a More Individualised and Evidence-Based Approach.
