Two new schools taking part in @ConnachtGAA hurling competitions for the first time today - Coola PPS from @sligogaa and @SCCS_Manor from @LeitrimGAA - thanks to Mr Raymond and Ms Bolger for giving the youngsters the opportunity.
9 of the last 10 senior championships in both football & hurling in Sligo have been won by dual clubs (Easkey, Coolera/Strandhill, Tourlestrane, Calry/St Joseph's). The exceptions - St Mary's (2014 foot) and Naomh Eoin (2019 hurl) are 2 clubs with a big crossover of dual players.
I can't understand why more "dual" clubs don't embrace "dual" players.
Maybe it is a rural/urban divide.
In Cork alone, Newcestown & Kanturk embrace dual players, and look at the levels they have got to compared to larger urban clubs with multiples of players...
