THE LONELINESS is an important film among the so-called British New Wave (This Sporting Life, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, Billy Liar and Room at the Top are among my favorites).
Definitely worth it.

If you’ve never seen it, I highly recommend Gods and Monsters starring Ian McKellen as James Whale in the final months of his life, with flashbacks to his time making his horror movies.
It’s a great movie.
