@BeattieDoug@uuponline An enormous loss to NI Politics! A good genuine man, who tried his best. He was warm, and open to change if it helped people. A man who I always felt was non sectarian and a credit to his party! Sad times as it shows parties are moving more to the right!
UNICEF is outraged by the killing of two drivers of trucks contracted by UNICEF to provide clean water to families in the Gaza Strip.
The victims were killed by Israeli fire in an incident that took place early this morning at the Mansoura water filling point in northern Gaza. UNICEF extends our condolences to the families of the men killed.

@matthew_shanks1 You are a disgusting cretin, grow up, mingle in your community, make Catholic, Protestant, Aetheist and Muslim friends as well as friends of every faith. Integrate and stop being divisive! If you think this is faux outrage you haven’t got a clue!
I welcome todays common sense judgement. Soldier F trial has been a painful and protracted process. There needs to be a better way of dealing with the legacy of the past and to ensure no rewriting of it.
@Johnfis08605918@Con_Tomlinson Ignore them mate, you keep doing your thing, it’s puts a smile on many peoples faces. But I’ve still never seen a single shop sell chilli vinegar in Ireland 🤣
Our statement on yesterday’s vote by Belfast City Council to adopt a new Irish Language policy for the city.
The Queen’s Democratic Unionist Association will continue to lead efforts in standing up for unionists on campus & ensuring that exclusionary policies never prevail.
Northern Ireland every day is just a load of nonsense, everyone offended by everything. Wise up, go and chat to your Catholic and Protestant neighbours and you will realise they are the same as you. Get out of your wee friendship groups you made at your religious school!
Took part in an un-notified parade? Seems to be a habit with the SDLP lately but they have the audacity to complain about a legal, notified community parade led by children in North Belfast because it was apparently intimidating. 🤷🏻♀️
Tonight’s protest culminated in a sit down protest on the road outside City Hall, blocking the road to traffic, creating chaos for public transport, taxi drivers trying to earn a living, businesses which people left because of the noise and commotion, and yet the SDLP at City Hall will try and paint themselves as the saviours of the city centre.
9th July and once again Northern Ireland shows it’s a complete basket case! Every year the same rubbish, the country is on its knees financially, schools and hospitals are at their limit and we are talking about bonfires again. We need equality for all citizens!
This beautiful young woman, Sarah, a mother of two children and pregnant with another wee baby, was murdered yesterday.
I honestly have no words.
My heart goes out to Sarah's family, her children and her wee angel baby.
Another family without a daughter, more children without a mummy, another home devastated and many mourning and grieving the loss of someone they loved so much, so savagely and suddenly snatched away from them.
May God surround this family in the coming days and months and I know everyone across Lagan Valley and Northern Ireland will be holding this family in prayer and in their hearts as they go through these most horrendous of times. We are with you xxxx
