@thismorning 'Man sublets home' and 'Uncle pays neices' rent' wouldn't drive traffic and sell papers. Editor's must believe that stories about Andrew will rile people up and help the bottom line.
@tvukzone Sounds like it will still be recorded, rather than live....so we will still have the cringe moments when Mel & Sue congratulate the winner at home
@marksandspencer I used it today, but when I hit £15 it sent me to a till to check out (like when buying wine). That's ok - but if that goes then I'll reconsider. I cannot queue with a week of shopping at your two staffed tills.
Have @marksandspencer removed mobile scanning in all stores? It’s the thing that makes shopping in #Lakeside#Foodhall possible. There are only a couple of tills in the whole place.
@sgoldsmith641 I thought that and the same on #GMB.
Sian Welby is underused - but is essentially doing what Rylan did initially. Regular on the showbiz, holiday cover as needed. Craig is fantastic. Over on GMB Tom Swarbrick was so sharp, just a breath of fresh air
@Ratings_UK Can you see ratings for channels like More4? I’ve been watching The Amazing Race Australia - but there has been no buzz around it! Feel like I’m the only person watching on a Sunday evening!!
@kirawontmiss That would be the same as earning almost double the average wage.
If the restaurant paid the national average wage ($27) they would have to add $7 to each person's meal.
So my $120 bill would become about $135.
@kirawontmiss In this example , it would be typical for a waiter to have 4 or 5 tables on the go at any one time, for a couple of hours. So in a 6 hour shift, maybe 10-12 tables.
The restaurant pays $3.50x6 = $21.
The expected tip would be $24x10 = £240.
So the effective hourly rate is $43!!
Love watching @GMB on a holiday to see who they are trying out! @TomSwarbrick1 was ‘my’ choice for a permanent role when Piers left, and again when Labour got into power and I assumed Ed would have to step down.
@scottygb In the US they would run a repeat, or only a newsdesk during holidays and event weekends. The period this has been on with May Bank Holiday and Eurovision/FA Cup would have been avoided.
@newswatchbbc@BBCBreakfast@BBCiPlayer They do. All the time.
I’m waiting for them all to start on the budget! ‘Why are you not more forthcoming about the budget, Chancellor? ‘ - due in about 5 months time.
@Imtherealanon I was thinking that yesterday. I know there are plenty of episodes they cannot show these days. But to go back to the beginning and start again one in the 60s, followed by 70s, 80s, 90s would be 2 hours of diverse music. Listening to Eurythmics twice in 20 mins was a lot
@HMRCcustomers Hello!
I am going to receive a bonus. It will be paid by PAYE, and will make my monthly pay that month go over £8334 - so will I lose part of my tax free allowance, or will that only happen later in the year if my YTD income exceeds £100k?
