Interestly enough, that changed when @tylerthecreator’s new track Rise! shuffled on my playlist. Something about the rhythmic tune, the frequent lines of inspiration, Tyler talking his sh*t, and Daisy World’s bridge reassuring me that if I fail, there’s always tomorrow. 🚀
The inconsistent shuffling and skipping of songs through my playlist changed my rhythm, pacing, tempo, and my focus— taking me out of my run. The slower tempo running opened a window of opportunity for my mind to wander.
As someone who is prone to overuse injuries my body would definitely be broken right now if I continued to approach running that way. 🤕
