Genuine question: is the £22bn spent thus far on ~90m PCR tests (ignoring contact tracing for simplicity), at ~£245/test, poor value for money?

@chrsgrrtt The 22bn is inclusive of everything to date (including the terrible tracing program). I think people are getting caught up in absolute figures and consultant day rates and surely the question has to be about value. To me £245/test doesn’t seem *terrible*. But maybe it is?
