As a Citizen of India, I have sent Complaint to News Broadcasting & Digital Standards Authority (NBDSA)
against @anjanaomkashyap & @aajtak .
Grounds for Complaint:
1. Lack of Accuracy and Verification: The report relied on biased sources already flagged by the Iranian Embassy. No credible official sources or balanced perspectives were included, violating NBDSA Code of Ethics regarding impartiality and objectivity.
2. Sensationalism: The use of hyperbolic headlines and fear-mongering imagery appears designed for viewership ratings rather than responsible reporting, resulting in a distortion of public perception.
3. Impact on International Relations: Spreading unsubstantiated claims about a friendly nation risks damaging India’s bilateral ties and global reputation.
4. Defamation: The content unfairly maligns a sovereign nation without proper due diligence.

NBDSA has been requested take formal cognizance of this matter and provide the following relief:

- An immediate inquiry into the broadcast.
- A directive to Aaj Tak to issue a public clarification or apology.
- Appropriate sanctions under NBDSA guidelines.
- Specific guidelines for media houses regarding responsible reporting on sensitive international affairs.
