I didn’t imply at any point that DEI was wonderful. I pointed out that white women were the PRIMARY beneficiaries of it. It invokes anger bc MAGAts have completely racialized the term, often using it to denigrate Blacks, intimating that Black people are the only ones who benefited from it, and—because of DEI policies—received job offers for which we weren’t qualified. It’s a falsehood that MAGAts love to throw around to denigrate Black people.
I was never a DEI hire, and was always pleaded with, and made lucrative offers, to remain in jobs from which I resigned.
This ignorant assertion has been very offensive to Black people.
President Biden did the complete opposite. The majority of the funding from the infrastructure bill went to red states, including the most populous ones, Texas and Florida, which received significant funding to rebuild their infrastructure. Rural and other Repuglican areas received 78% of funds allocated for green-economy investments. When asked why he did it, the former president said Red states received the majority of the funding because they had greater need of it. He was a true president for the people, but it now sickens and angers me that he did it, given the threats being levied by the POs in our WH to withhold federal funding from Blue states. WTAF?
@StevenHAsness@KeithOlbermann Magats and this tds nonsense. It’s OLD, but I understand why you keep repeating it. I guess you have to wait for the convict to feed your barren brain a new expression to “trigger the libs.”
James Carville on the midterms: “Between now and Election Day 2026, we have one singular mission. That is to win as many seats as we possibly can. The Democrat that you agree with the least is 100x better than the best Republican”
Jason Crow: “I’m a 3-time combat veteran and when I hear a 5-time draft dodger like Donald Trump say he has no problem putting boots on the ground in Venezuela, I get a little hot. When elites bang the war drums and talk tough, it’s young kids like me that have to pick up guns and get in helicopters and do the tough work”
Remember when Trump said Harris would “guarantee “ World War III due to incompetence? He said her leadership would gamble with millions of lives and lead the nation into a global conflict. Yet, here we are with a demented old man that has bombed seven countries in one year. 😡
Donald Trump’s actions in Venezuela do not make America safer, stronger, or more affordable.
That Maduro is a brutal, illegitimate dictator does not change the fact that this action was both unlawful and unwise. We’ve seen this movie before. Wars for regime change or oil that are sold as strength but turn into chaos, and American families pay the price.
The American people do not want this, and they are tired of being lied to.
This is not about drugs or democracy. It is about oil and Donald Trump’s desire to play the regional strongman. If he cared about either, he wouldn’t pardon a convicted drug trafficker or sideline Venezuela’s legitimate opposition while pursuing deals with Maduro’s cronies.
The President is putting troops at risk, spending billions, destabilizing a region, and offering no legal authority, no exit plan, and no benefit at home.
America needs leadership whose priorities are lowering costs for working families, enforcing the rule of law, strengthening alliances, and — most importantly — putting the American people first.
