This past semester, Dr. Nicole Mills embraced the use of generative AI in her classroom. Building on her existing experience with the VR platform Wonda (https://t.co/xeJYevaXGE), she worked with the Wonda team to create an immersive AI+VR assignment for her intro French course.
Students picked two suspicious suspects and interrogated them. The avatars responded using the voices selected by the students. Students had to pay particular attention to their French pronunciation so that the speech recognition model would transcribe their questions correctly.
