Bungie's management reportedly told employees that while other options were considered to avoid layoffs, Executive compensation was not one of them.

Some new details for Bungie/Destiny2:
- Employees were told that without the Sony buyout, the studio would have been in jeopardy due to poor D2 performance.
- D2 PvP Map pack not canceled despite layoffs on PvP Strike Team
- In-game LFG was reportedly announced to the community before the devs
- Devs wanted fewer microtransactions in D2, but they were deemed necessary due to Destiny's high operating cost
- "Something" is planned to fill the gap in Season 23 till TFS
