@dajoma65k@Koteghe@_JOEZCafe I know all of this. The point I’m making is that until ps3 emulation gets to the point where it does run better than a ps3 it will not be popular because from a user’s standpoint its just not a good investment.
@revcodes_sare@_JOEZCafe I am aware. I know that’s what the devs are trying to do. What I’ve been saying is that the backlash is not unexpected considering that so long as it only runs as well as a ps3 it won’t work for most gamers who cannot enjoy a game below 60fps.
@dajoma65k@Koteghe@_JOEZCafe So true. If you were to focus solely on this one specific example and ignore countless others, such as almost every other emulator, recompilation projects, modding, romhacks etc. you would be right.
@revcodes_sare@_JOEZCafe 60fps has been the norm since arcades. Most machines ran at 60fps. Consoles at the time certainly couldn’t but there was still people who would only use arcade machines due to the better performance.
@SensibleSchizo@Koteghe@_JOEZCafe It’s immature to make sure the money you spend actually provides value? Idk how you grew up but I didn’t always have a lotta money to spend so I grew to be more careful with it.
@7ndrew@_JOEZCafe Not natively no, that’s why people want the games on it preserved in the first place. Otherwise you could just buy a used ps3 for pretty cheap.
@Koteghe@_JOEZCafe You do realize that you need a pretty decent Pc to emulate PS3 right? Emulation takes more processing power than running the games natively.
@___SUPERROOKIE@Koteghe@_JOEZCafe I don’t need an excuse to complain or criticize the current state of the technology. I respect the devs but I admit that without certain enhancements their work is meaningless to most people. I take no pleasure in admitting that but that’s just the way it is.
@wolfbetter1@_JOEZCafe I grew up playing games at 30fps too. I didn’t even know what it meant. But once you do actually experience true 60fps you just can’t go back.
