Thanks for making this point Bill. I helped preserve this logo while I was on the City Council, way back there. Actually what I helped save was the lightning bolt. That was just a small part of Councils at that time preventing the City from selling its utility.
The utility leadership at the time wanted to change their logo which had a lightning bolt, which of course harkens back to Ben Franklin. After I objected to that a staff member at Austin Energy came forward with this logo design that is still in place today. No consultants on this logo.
@FamilysSoupTV It also shows several law enforcement officers with automatic weapons and tactical gear outside guarding parents at same time spokespeople say cops inside the school were waiting for tactical gear and reinforcement.
Gov Abbott vowed to bus immigrants to “the steps of the US Capitol,” then said that’s only if they want to go and after they’re cleared by US officials. So he’s just helping immigrants get further inland?

@GregCasar Your ad claims that you "passed sick leave," but that ordinance was overturned by the courts and no one got sick leave. Shouldn't you mention that?

@aarickawash@statesman Sorry to be late in expressing my regrets you were laid off at the Statesman. Wanted to make sure you saw my article about the layoffs in the Austin Independent. Please check out the rest of the site if you have time. I hope we can keep you in Austin
