@HahlJeannie Fuck off. I went for philosophical and you made it personal. I said people fuck up. I just also don’t know them and I’m not a fucking judge. Can’t have a conversation like that. Guess I was right to not open twitter
@tinydocholliday@___TheGOOdWitch Nah. It means what it means. Redemption is through sacrifice or mercy. We aren’t separate from him because we are imperfect, we are separate by a lack of changing our ways. It isn’t different, but that should be enough to try our best, even if none of us will ever be perfect
@___TheGOOdWitch Homogeneous couples can’t have kids in the past. Pork is a dresses risk, and some blended clothing materials are irritants. People being mad because society advanced aren’t acknowledging the 1800 years where it was truth they didn’t know. Stubborn ass can go fuck himself
@___TheGOOdWitch My biggest issue is that the idea of religion is evil. While I grew up in a Christian household, I was largely atheistic. I believed the idea of a reason for morals was more important than letting them just be afraid of being caught. Advice from history isn’t really bad advice
@HahlJeannie @elonmusk Before you ask, I’m disgusted by people doing things wrong. People should know better. I’m also not gonna condemn a cop for not being a doctor. I’ve met random people, who could be cops if the applied, who don’t know what high tide is or what causes a tornado. People don’t know
@HahlJeannie @elonmusk The social norm is to not care. You need the police and you aren’t that interested in an outlier. Most of the world either has fear for the police or believes that. Is it right? No. Is it human? Yes. Value from defending the innocent isn’t new, people just weaponized it for greed
@Avabelly__ Fuckin character count. I meant working somewhere better is earned. You don’t pay cheap apprentice electricians what you would professionals. It’s the same thing, and there is a learning curve. Try asking questions at a nice place vs a random chain. The answers won’t be the same
@Avabelly__ Ok, so assume you get promoted; would you expect a pay raise? Sure, restaurants can charge an automatic gratuity as a “service charge.” Would that make you happier? If they suck at serving, then they get less, and excellent servers get more. Getting to work somewhere is earned
@veektor__ The ruling was still disrespecting the will of the dead. I don’t agree with the guy or the outcome, but the ruling is wrong. In the end, the guy still earned the money, but now half of it goes to his sister who was never a part of the business. It’s morally wrong.
@LeeandLie Great insight; people get plenty of moments of joy, but happiness really is a fleeting commodity. It’s moments scattered through life we lean on when we need a bit more joy when things are bleak or boring. Remembering when you were content and satisfied is a cool thing
@MufakkirHurr@SunTzusWar@Iranmilitary24 I’m not taking a side, though I might feel like it. I’m just saying that sounds as weird as the other side. History is steeped in tradition when all was word of mouth, and families were formed before that could take root. Arranged marriages were an early solution to compatibility
@MufakkirHurr@SunTzusWar@Iranmilitary24 The idea was from the first 5 books of the Bible I know, which both others call by a distinct name. The husband to be the leader and the wife their supporter. Ensuring purity was also a factor, but allowing for family tradition to be part of formative years was there as well.
@GiggukAZ Couldn’t get into this one, but I’m not surprised. I think we’ll see a lot more of things like this. Genre specific works are big, and just because anime used to be an advertisement for the manga doesn’t mean it’s keep on. Let’s get excited about the long overdue continuations
