Ahead of the #MHDay2022 Day, @MastercardFdn is recognizing the work that we do to keep the girl child in the Karamoja region at school. Menstruation is the reason most girls in this region drop out of school. 1/3
๐ฃ๐ฃ Exciting updates!! Our growth continues as we warmly welcome new SRHR youth champions across the country. Enthusiastically anticipating our collective efforts in driving the SRHR agenda ahead in Uganda๐ช๐ช
For day 3 and last day of the #MHFest ,we camped in Matany town council with the same goal of empowering adolescent girls and young women to break myths and misconceptions around Menstruation.
This week ,we are camping in Napak district for the #MHFest . In partnership with different organizations,we are disseminating information on Menstrual health and other key SRHR concepts .
Day one was at Lokopo sub-county.
Day 2 of the #MHFest was in Lopei sun-county . The adolescent girls and young women were offered a wide range of sessions including skilling on making of reusable pads.
This #menstrualhealth month is yet another opportunity to shine a light on the plight of adolescent girls and young women whose dreams are put on hold due to period poverty.
As The Menstrual Health Day approaches, our team and @dash4galsug have collaborated to host a range of integrated girl talks on Menstrual Health in Napak district, Uganda. Join us for these informative events!

โFrom a young age, I knew education was my only path to changing my community's perspective toward women. I wanted to prove everyone wrong, including my mother, who doubted my abilities.โ
