@SEPTA_SOCIAL That's true but this is the third time this exact detour has come up. The first time it lasted for a full week, and one of the days Chelten was blocked so buses ended up going all the way to Haines Street. I tried to reach out before about that on Facebook but to no avail

The 18 and 26 detour has the buses going 15 mins off route with tight turns and traffic while skipping 3-4 stops.

They don't have to take Chelten up to Wister. They could instead turn on Musgrave and use Church Lane/Locust Avenue to Chew. They've done it b4

There's more than enough room for it to be done, and they will only lose about 1 minute. Not to mention the turn is not nearly as tight as going from Chelten to Wister and there is no traffic

@SEPTA_SOCIAL I’ve done that but they still pass full speed. I wasn’t going to say anything at first because the 18/26 also stop there, but when I specifically need the J bus it’s still an issue. It went into overdrive today because I constantly asked the driver to let me out and they refused.

@SEPTA_SOCIAL there’s a stop on the J bus at Church Lane but right now they’re on detour. However for some reason drivers believe they no longer have to stop at Church Lane because they’re on detour. I’ve been both on the bus and at a stop where the J passed at full speed.
