🟩 Regarding Alonso's incredible top speed during the weekend:

All the advantage he gains in the faster sectors, he loses in the rest of the medium and low-speed corners.

The change in corners 12 and 13 (slower corners) obviously affects his lap times.

Minisector dominance ⚔️:

ALO, despite being 0.6s slower than VER, dominates the same percentage of the circuit (almost 40%) but loses any chance of pole in the 'slower' areas (sector 2)

RUS is more consistent (not as much as VER), especially in sector 2

Fastest drivers by sector 📊:

1st sector: VER comfortably leads, followed by McLaren and Mercedes

2nd sector belongs to Mercedes, but it's very close

3rd sector: the section with the fastest corners is dominated by VER and ALO with very similar times

Max speeds 📈 and min speeds 📉:

Aston Martin 🟩 is once again the fastest car, a significant improvement from earlier in the year.

Mercedes ⬛️, with more aerodynamic downforce, is generally slower.

McLaren 🟧: lower top speed but quick in slow-speed sections.

PER and SAI surprisingly drop out in Q2

PIA and NOR (will start 10th despite 8th place on the chart) are affected by deleted laps

Max speeds 📈 and min speeds 📉:

That max speed from AM 🟩 has played a significant role in Alonso's 4th place despite using medium tires.

⬜️ Haas has the 2nd highest max speed and the highest min speed!! We'll need to keep an eye on them in qualifying.

Starting the weekend with FP1 for the 2023 Qatar GP 🇶🇦

Difference (s) to the fastest driver ⌛️:

It may not be very representative of the times we'll see in qualifying later, but VER 🇳🇱 is once again in 1st place

ALO's 4th place 🇪🇸 with medium tyres stands out.

Race position changes 🎢

In yesterday's race, there were many retirements (5, if we count Perez's two retirements, it's 6).

There was a lot of action between HAM, SAI, and RUS towards the end.

Notable position change on the final lap within the Alpine team.

AlphaTauri battle ⚔️

With the 2024 seats already decided, Lawson once again finished ahead of his teammate.

Their race pace was similar, but again, the final result was determined by an undercut from LAW to TSU.

Battle for 5th position ⚔️

On lap 34, HAM executed an undercut on SAI, and Ferrari couldn't react in time (they were losing more than 3s per lap!!), resulting in them losing the position.

RUS, with used tires, was overtaken by HAM and SAI, but SAI couldn't catch HAM in the end.
