Dove deep into how @DataFast_ tracks website data — it’s all in a compact 4KB JS script!

- It sets a unique visitor and session IDs with cookies
- Filters the bots
- The script reads window.location.href for the current page URL and document.referrer for the URL of the previous page the visitor came from.
- Captures the visitors screen size
- Parses URL query parameters to extract marketing click IDs
- tracks pageviews, scroll, clicks
- Detects payments (Stripe, LemonSqueezy)

And then sends all the data securely in real time

I love how transparent it is and on top of that a really nice UI to wrap it all @marclou

It kinda pains me to say that because I wanted to make a marketer-first analytics app after I sold Talknotes 🥲

But instead of just *thinking* about making an analytics app like I did, Marc actually shipped it

@DataFast_ is the best analytics tool on the market right now.

just shows the metrics you actually need. the clean, simple dashboard is a huge win.
