I come from a math background, mostly probabilities and statistics, so trading concepts like the IB (Initial Balance) have always fascinated me.

I thought I'd share a tool I built last year. It is an Excel calculator which uses five years of IB data across multiple time ranges to quantify trade ideas.

Think of it like a cheat sheet. It can compute multiple IB retracement levels, extension targets, and opening contexts (meaning multiple time ranges, 30 minute, 60 minute, 90 minute range...), and convert them into conditional probabilities and expected return for any trade idea, as well as validate the idea with a mechanical TAKE / SKIP decision.

For instance, what is the conditional probability and expected return that price after filling your entry order at X price will not hit the 70% IB retracement level (SL), but will run out the high or a 10% extension target beyond the current IB range (TP), while also assuming it is a single break range day? Here, the orange fields are manual input fields. Numbers are taken from data I gathered on a separate sheet.

Not sharing it to sell or anything. Just thought it's one of the more interesting models I've built and showing there are lots of opportunities to tweak your trading.
