@AimsirSpoirt@jamierkennedy@Richie3Jack You can view raw versus true (field-strength adjusted) numbers for 2026 here: https://t.co/WJfYxDUOk3.
Doesn't make a huge difference for putting. So Kaneko must have very good putting numbers from the non-IMG events that we haven't included.
@AimsirSpoirt@jamierkennedy@Richie3Jack We only include DP events that calculate SG using IMG Arena (a shot-tracking service... which has its issues but is pretty good). The missing events use players/caddies to track SG. The other small thing would be our field strength adjustment (~0.1 for Kaneko this year).
@AimsirSpoirt@jamierkennedy@Richie3Jack The disclaimer would be he only has 28 rounds with SG category data. He doesn't have enough data to show up on this page: https://t.co/rElym2O8hw, but if he did his putting skill would be 18th.
Sam Burns has been at a similar level to Kaneko in '26 for the last two years (+0.9).
Presidents Cup hub is updated for 2026. Here's the current combined list (red means inside the top 12 Americans in that metric, green means inside top 12 Internationals).
Good to see some green on the board here.
FedExCup projections update:
- 46 of the 70 playoffs spots are now locked (>99%)
- 26 of the 50 BMW spots are locked
- 11 of the 30 Tour Champ. spots are locked
- projected point cutoff for the playoffs is 588.
Projected movement from start-of-year priority bins:
Interesting to compare this current matrix to start of year (below).
The top-50 group has overperformed, winning 14/20 non-opposite events (Fitz bros get 1 win each for Zurich).
Still a lot of turnover though: ~19/50 guys won't be in Sigs (if they exist) to start next year.
A bunched leaderboard through 36 holes, plus a big wave split today (due to conditions and maybe some nerves), means we have an insane 54-hole leaderboard.
Here are the scores by tee time today:
@garrett_TFE@futureoffantasy Well, betting is all relative (bettor vs. book), so standardizing golf more wouldn't help.
It's interesting to understand golf courses, who they favour and why. Which I'm sure you agree with. That's why we are looking into this stuff (while also enjoying watching the golf)
@PositiveWx We do rankings based on score/SG (https://t.co/42F2yENJOP), where Rahm ranks very well. This is just how about how well you are playing recently.
But we also have rankings based on the quality of your results/accomplishments: https://t.co/KHOWaizHcd. Rahm is 11th in these.
