Should companies track employees by their AI token spend?

Jensen Huang said an engineer earning 500k should spend 250k on AI tokens.

Companies actually listened. ....maybe

Some Companies now build internal dashboards to track every API call and monitor their engineers. This approach completely fails.

Engineers are now gaming the system. They deploy useless AI agents just to inflate their numbers and avoid getting fired.

Layoffs, Business Growth, AI and Imagination...

A morning walk in my neighborhood and sharing a few thoughts:

➧ Firing people is the easy part of running a business.

➧ Getting new capabilities and immediately thinking about cutting headcount shows a loser mentality.

➧ The real challenge involves imagining a future where your company grows 3x or 10x.

➧ Protecting margins matters, but the goal must be doing more rather than just maintaining the status quo.

Imagination is the absolute most critical skill during this transition phase.

Jensen calls the nuclear comparison lunacy and a lousy analogy, pushing for global dialogue and cooperation instead.

I personally side with Jensen on this.

Meta just grabbed Joshua Gross from Mira Murati’s 12 billion dollar startup Thinking Machines.

Big Tech clearly uses these massive startups as their personal farm leagues to centralize AI power.

​Thinking Machines still has 130 employees left. They must be locking the office doors.

The Dwarkesh podcast got incredibly intense.

"We are far from enriched uranium. This is a chip."

The debate got extremely real:

➧ Dwarkesh fears that giving China more compute creates dangerous AI capabilities.

➧ Jensen argues that abandoning 40 percent of the global market destroys American tech dominance.

➧ Cutting them off just forces them to build their own independent ecosystem and scale.

➧ The real win is making the entire world completely dependent on the American tech stack.

➧ Jensen strongly warns against fearmongering because treating AI like a bomb will just destroy engineering jobs.

They are abandoning sneakers to become an AI infrastructure brand.

The wildest pivot of the year:

➧ Trashing their entire environmental mission

➧ Stock spiked 350 percent immediately
This is absolute market comedy.
