"Collective Intelligence Without Data Sharing"
DataTools4Heart's FLP lets hospitals train AI collaboratively, keeping patient data local. Spanning 7 European sites, its secure network transforms distributed cardiology data into shared clinical insight.
Today we held the DataTools4Heart Workshop.
We discussed our key exploitable results, use cases, IPR strategy, and opened a consultation on the Code of Conduct for health data sharing.
Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to shaping the project’s impact.
DataTools4Heart’s Data Ingestion Suite translates local cardiology data into our HL7 FHIR Common Data Model. It operates within each hospital (no raw data leaves) and supplies the Metadata Catalogue for privacy-safe cohort discovery.

💡 Advancing cardiovascular research with federated data infrastructure: Our Metadata Catalogue now connects 8 European hospitals, enabling AI-powered cohort discovery and privacy-preserving analysis across sites, collaboration at scale - without moving the data.
💡 The first draft of the EU GDPR Code of Conduct for health data sharing and reuse in medical research has been released!
The DataTools4Heart Consortium has opened a public consultation.
Please provide feedback by 30 June 2026.
Help shape the future of health data governance!
💡 📌 DataTools4Heart's Common Data Model harmonises cardiology data across Europe using HL7 FHIR. 30 FHIR profiles, 8 real-world EHR sites, 1 unified semantically interoperable format – advancing cardiovascular research through standardisation and interoperability.
21–22 November, ESC AI & Digital Health 2025 with our DataTools4Heart partners!
This event brought together leading experts in artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and cardiovascular research, and the DataTools4Heart Consortium was proudly represented.
