Why is the public App Store version not out yet?
On April 21, 2026, Apple rejected our submission under Guideline 2.1.0 / 3.1.5(iii). Their finding:

"The app contains cryptocurrency exchange functionality... Apps providing cryptocurrency exchange services may only be distributed in locations where you have supporting evidence of permissions, registrations, and/or licenses."

Translation: because Datawallet+ lets you swap and trade DC FAT and DCR-20 assets directly in the wallet, Apple now treats it as a regulated crypto exchange and wants formal exchange licenses for every storefront we ship to.

This is a regulatory documentation requirement, not a technical issue and not a rejection of our mission.

What we are doing about it, around the clock:
1. Securing the required permissions, registrations and exchange-service authorizations in our priority jurisdictions, with specialised crypto-regulatory counsel.

2. Building the supporting evidence dossier (MiCA readiness in the EU, VASP registrations, equivalent frameworks elsewhere).

3. Preparing a storefront-restricted build that ships immediately to the jurisdictions where our paperwork is already in order, so the rollout begins in waves.

We refuse to ship a watered-down, swap-less Datawallet+ just to get past App Review faster. We are doing the harder, slower, correct thing: getting properly licensed.

Until then, TestFlight is the official iOS path. Android version is already live.

Do you believe in epigenetic memory? The visionary behind Datachain Rope, Kazé A. Onguene, suspects he does. Some intuitions surface from older threads than the lifespan that holds them. Standing in front of a half-deciphered Andean knot record, the question that imposed itself was not “how quaint” but “why are we building public-data infrastructure on a substrate that was never designed for it, when this one was?” That suspicion, refined over months of cross-disciplinary work across anthropology, cryptography, and distributed systems, became the architectural premise of Datachain Rope. The team that turned the premise into a running mainnet has now shipped the result. It is not a metaphor.

Here is what was done.
The substrate was replaced, not redecorated. Most “indigenous data” projects layer consultative governance over a relational schema and call the schema indigenous. The Datachain Foundation team made the harder move. The knotted-cord lineage of the Andean khipu, position-addressed, signed, hierarchically aggregated, replicated, granularly erasable, is the substrate. The block lineage of Bitcoin and Ethereum is the alternative. The codebase enforces this in the structures themselves: a Knot is the protocol-native event entry, a String is a sovereign per-entity ledger, and the federation Cord aggregates strings without flattening them. The European EVM block becomes a compatibility alias on top of the Andean knot, rather than the other way around.

Granular erasure was made native. The single most stubborn problem in public-data infrastructure is the conflict between immutable append-only logs and the right to be forgotten under GDPR Article 17, CCPA, LGPD, PIPL, POPIA, the EU AI Act, and DORA. Bitcoin and Ethereum cannot solve it without breaking their substrate. Datachain Rope solved it by importing the Tupicocha cord-keeper practice of public, witnessed, deliberate untying of obsolete knots. The rope_untieKnot RPC cryptographically destroys a knot’s payload while preserving its structural position as a tombstone, witnessed by the federation cord at the moment of the erasure. This is the strongest substrate-level realization of the right to be forgotten currently engineered on a public smartchain.

Every knot is signed with ML-DSA-65 (CRYSTALS-Dilithium 3, NIST FIPS 204) by default, with SLH-DSA (SPHINCS+, FIPS 205) permitted. The cryptographic horizon that was missing is now a standard function.
The carrier was restored. A Datawallet+ is a modern instantiation of the office of the amauta, the griot, the Polynesian navigator, the wampum keeper, the quipucamayoq. Strings live on the network; the wallet is what makes them signable, walkable, untieable, and eventually inheritable. Identity, medical record, territorial title, biodiversity attestation, university diploma: each is a song, sung by a named wallet, owned by a named person, fated to be inherited rather than sold. The team is in the final design phase of authenticated multi-generational inheritance, which will land as event_type = inheritance in the upcoming Canon v1.3.

The mainnet is live. Chain ID 271828 runs across a multi-region, multi-cloud failover mesh with bifurcated execution (rope-node for cord-native consensus, and EVM compatibility). T-REX/ONCHAINID identity infrastructure is deployed; DCSwap pools liquidity on it; Tanastok has 198+ prelisted real-world assets as DCNFT plus ERC-3643 pairs riding the cord. The Phase 1 throughput ceiling has been pushed from 1.5K to 51.8K knots per second, with the Canon v2.0 roadmap targeting five million per second.

The opportunity is now structural. A substrate older than the corporation, signed under cryptography younger than the laptop, federated under a protocol that audits without seizing. The threads were always there. The team has tied them.
