After reading Game Engine Black Book: Wolfenstein 3D by @fabynou, I was curious about implementing a wolf3d style raycasting engine in #LabVIEW. More specifically LabVIEW FPGA.
After much tinkering, here it is - everything fits and runs on the FPGA, including video output 😀
Passenger aeroplane seats should have a 'right of reply' function, where a passenger has the option of canceling the recline of the seat in front
Person A: *reclines*
Person B: "Not today, buddy" *presses 'right of reply' button*
Person A: *gently returned to upright position*
As part of NI’s push for “#LabVIEW everywhere” in the mid 90s, the development environment was ported to a wide variety of platforms, including several video game consoles.
These console versions were never officially released, though internal beta copies are rumored to exist.

@patwillallen My experience is similar. Many Windows + RT apps, and maybe one Mac app (which was more of a nice-to-have to run on the customer's machine).
LabVIEW for Mac was the first and longest running version of LabVIEW, so it's unfortunate to see it go.

I've just released a new open source #LabVIEW library called G-Unicode!
It has unicode replacements for string, file I/O, and user dialog VIs, plus unicode conversion, probes, QD shortcut constant editor, and lots of examples.

@dnatt Unrelated, but PopupMenus.ElevateCreation is disabled by default in LV2023Q3. Any idea if this was intentional? I didn't realize how second nature it had become, so was a bit jarring to find those menus items missing. Manually added the key to labview.ini and all is good.
@dnatt Here's a VI which reproduces the issue (see txt for steps). At 150% zoom, LV treats text as UTF-16LE (and correctly renders UTF-16LE text as unicode). I've only been able to reproduce the issue with that particular tree control.
