School Management Committee (SMC) play a vital role in strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) under the NIPUN Bharat Mission, in line with the vision of #NEP2020 which prioritizes universal #FLN by Grade 2. By ensuring active participation of parents and the community, they help create nurturing and inclusive learning environments.

SMC encourage the use of the mother tongue or local language in early grades, promote reading habits through community-supported reading corners, organize storytelling sessions and support parent-led reading initiatives that make learning more engaging and meaningful for children.
