The magnitude of Trump's personal corruption and the monetizing of the presidency by him and his family have no precedent in US history.
It takes a total peasant mentality, or some weird cultish devotion, to defend or excuse this, especially if you objected to corrupt Biden transactions (as I did). It's on a completely different scale.
Trump set up a crypto company (World Liberty Financial) 4 days before his inauguration, then had the UAE pour hundreds of millions into his pockets for 49% of it, then gave rewards to the UAE. Jared getting $2 billion from the Saudis. On and on and on.
Trump needed to win 2024 in order to avoid prison so he promised $2 gasoline, half price energy bills, low price groceries, 10% cap on credit card interest, free IVF, better healthcare, affordable housing, no new wars, and the release of the Epstein files.
Almost everyone I know is Trumpsexual…
This, among others, is why I’ll never get on board. At the end of the day he’s a corrupt scumbag who doesn’t give a shit about anyone other than himself.
He wouldn’t waste his piss on you if you were on fire in front of him.
A brand new bridge between Detroit and Canada is finished and ready to open. It would speed up traffic for millions of trucks, cut delays for American businesses, and help the auto industry that employs people in every state. There is just one problem.
Donald Trump won’t let it open.
Here is why.
The family that owns the old bridge stands to lose business when the new one opens. So in January, they gave one million dollars to a pro-Trump super PAC.
Weeks later they met with Trump’s Commerce Secretary.
He called Trump.
Hours after that, Trump announced he would block the new bridge. The opening was set for June 12. It got canceled the day before. The bridge sits there finished and empty.
Now here is the part that should make every taxpayer angry.
Canada paid for the entire bridge.
Every dollar. And the United States already owns half of it for free. Trump is holding up a bridge we got for nothing, to protect a donor who wrote him a check, while picking a fight with our closest ally and biggest trading partner.
This is corruption in plain sight.
A billionaire pays, and the President delivers. American workers and businesses pay the price.
Open the bridge. A government should work for the people, not for whoever writes the biggest check.

I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.
@Dameshek fruit of the year front-runner should be the nectarine.
Nectarine hack: leave them at room temp until they are perfectly ripe (dimples with medium thumb pressure applied) … then put them in the crisper drawer for prolonged ecstasy.
They are the perfect fruit.
@srodg2@alphafox These ebikes that go 30mph with minimal effort are not real bicycles. They shouldn’t be allowed on sidewalks where families are walking peacefully. He almost ran over another small child in route to buzzing by the dude 1” away. Anyone who agrees with this “cyclist” is an asshole.
@RedBlackAttack@timmys24 This series was over when they blew the 22pt lead. Simple as that.
Cannot recover from that embarrassment. Knicks haven’t looked back … and that’s a drive into deep left field by Castellanos…
@maverick_bet@iamjackedcrypto@FreeRangeKids A lot of these tournaments have teams getting beat 18-1 and 20-0 etc - it is pretty sad.
I wish there was a middle ground between rec and travel.
Rec ball, one practice a week, 10-12 games a season. Watered down talent pool.
Travel - 40 games, 60 practices. Elite vs avg Joes
@timmys24 Seems like Merrill is far more successful when he catches, takes a quick dribble to his left or right, and then hoists…
When he catches and shoots, lately, he’s been awful.
I noticed this in the TOR and DET series, and game 1 and 2 vs NYK it’s even more glaring.
