Growth mindset cant work until we focus on S's strengths. When we focus on S's weaknesses they are discouraged & hopeless. But if we focus on their strengths it allows them to experience success. Success builds confidence. Then they will try new or harder things. Growth Mindset!

As a casual teacher it may be difficult to gain the respect of students.. As I have learnt working with children over the past year, it is so important to build a relationship that is based on mutual respect and understanding.

Some teachers just expect respect. However, respect is a two way relationship. For a teacher to be respected by their students they first of all need to show through modelling and care respect for their students. Respect earns respect. #ACUedu_p

My goal is to start casual teaching over the next few weeks. I am very excited as you can tell, I've started to stock up on some resources for reading. As I begin to jump into teaching I aim to set myself goals each week and hope to achieve them in the classroom #ACUedu_p
