@ClaudeDevs Just tried it out on a session tracker agent that I run.
● session-tracker(Update session progress files post-deploy) Done (10 tool uses · 80.5k tokens · 1m 12s)
Cost me $45.99 spent. Cool feature. 🙄
@bcherny@DavidKPiano Opus 4.7 constantly takes shortcuts. I made hooks to make it use the docs on certain parts of the codebase then it just reads something from the docs that has nothing to do with the task just to bypass the hook. And never follow rules in the memory. So frustrating.
@claudeai I feel a $400 plan coming soon.
How it works:
- Ship 1M context window
- Add Max Effort toggle
- Both burn tokens way faster
- Drop a 2x usage promo to sweeten it
- Users get hooked on higher usage
- Take it away March 27
- Everyone bumps up a plan
Digital Drug Dealers.

@zebassembly Same happened to me. I feel like the million context window with effort high is a way for users on max plans to burn through rate limits faster with subpar results. But 100% you cannot trust the model anymore. I did find that using web hooks help keep it from lying tho.
@nikuscs@benjamincrozat@2hi4me2cu 💯 At this point look for any job. Forget code. Do manual labor, restaurants etc... Many times in life you need to do jobs that you don't want to do, so you can do the ones you want to do.
@alexdotgs Wow congratulations! If it wasn't for your courses early in my career I probably wouldn't be where I am today. Best of luck and I hope you made a nice chunk of change from that acquisition.
@benjamincrozat Why is this a trend in Tech? No growth opportunity??Everyone seems to hop job to job ever 1.25 years on averag. What ever happened to loyalty?
@taylorotwell I used Codecourse heavily for years. Emailed Alex to see if I could get a lifetime subscription and he called me. It was a pretty surreal moment. He actually sounded just like he does in the videos. Lol
@JamesZackX I usually find the answers to my problems by writing out the issue in full detail. This allows me to fully understand what's going on, what's not working right, and how it should be working. Most of the time I'll find the solution, or at this point, you have a solid prompt now.
