In August 2012, I was bouncing between odd jobs through a temp service in Batesville. I interviewed at Batesville Job Corps for a Director of Recreation position, and all I had to do was pass the CDL test and the job was mine. My daughter was due in October. Money mattered. Stability mattered. But purpose mattered more. So instead of chasing the job, I chose the opportunity. I volunteered at South Panola, no paycheck, no benefits, no guarantees. Just a chance. Just belief. Just a foot in the door. And the rest is history. Find your purpose, your passion and turn it into your profession.
