The last ‘Conservative’ government didn’t do anything Conservative and so was voted out of power. The current ‘Labour’ government is planning to cut pensioners winter fuel allowance while allowing heating bills to rise by 9%.
None of them answer to the people - they have other masters. Remember Keir Starmer met people in Davos who he said he could imagine “working together” with.
He never said who they were, or what they’d be working on.
