David plays nicely with the other children, even the idiots. He is invariably polite, but shows indifference and even disrespect to authority. Makes Beer.
@KiffinEileen It's obvious that paying the cost of something is cheaper than paying the cost of something plus a healthy profit margin. But I am 22 on the list either way. Why would I complain about increased supply? Just by a tiny margin, the new expensive system, may I get treated.
@GaryPayinda I stopped caring about your public health system when you made me number 22 on the list, effectively ensuring the system I paid for, would never see me. I don't expect to better served by not being seen in the private system. But either way I pay for the public one.
@Bridgetpee Depends on your personality. I actually enjoy the scam calls from Microsoft. I can hold them on the phone for an hour. But I have no other life. Nice to chat to someone π
@sootytweet Navigation is math, astronomy, & technology for instruments to make reliable measurements. Maori didn't have any of that. They weren't navigators. But, without understanding why, or when, they were capable of noticing the night sky had changed. That's enough for a day off.
@Joe_Trinder There isn't a single reason to think the western rules based order exists in any way worth defending. It seems to be different rules for different countries. China will determine the next rules based order in the same way. Let's hope they are fairer than we have been.
@investigatemag Science is science. You don't have to like what it says. The issue is what does it say? When media deliberately lie about the science, all it does it erode trust in their next scientific report. I can't imagine the low IQ that is required to distort easily reputable facts.
@tauhenare Does that matter? Can you list all the world's peoples that didn't code sovereignty, & remain ungoverned? I don't think government ask. They just take tax, make laws, & it doesn't mater a damn if you signed up, you still get to be governed. Convince me there is an alternative.
@TaxpayersUnion Central government keeps giving local government more to do. This is particularly the case for regional councils. Big things like long term plans. Little things like freedom camping bylaws. Ratepayers carry the can. So cap rates please. But cap central government demands as well.
@JordNZ An incredible navigator and explorer, his maps were detailed and amazingly accurate. His astronomical surveys helped accurately establish longitude in a time when clocks were unreliable. Sadly murdered like so many others that came to the Pacific.
@kelvin_morganNZ She probably can't pay costs if she loses. Stuff probably can't pay the settlement if she wins, especially as its a jury trial, so she might get a big number if it falls her way. Either way the lawyers and the judge get paid. The winner then is...? Hint. It's not fair journalism.
@kiwirishhpsauce @NZNationalParty Daily charge is the biggest part of my electricity bill. Its going to get worse as all these electric vehicles plug in and the grid needs big $$$ spent on it. Why should consumers that have a peak demand of 5kw pay the same daily charge as consumers with a peak demand of 50kw?
@marcdaalder Don't you mean, "How good it gets?". Warmer is good, wetter and drier are both good depending on what you do. Sounds like a win-win to me.
@simonbwilson@SimeonBrownMP@nzherald Simplistic evaluation. Higher speeds give you more road capacity. Its an indisputable vehicles per unit time measure. The issue is bottlenecks and restrictions that create speed disparities. All these things need work. But starting with increased speed limits is sensible.
@kiwiwayne2 The more they push this rhetoric on me the more I'll oppose it. It's blatant racism. I'm gen X and growing up, we never felt divided like this. We were all the same. It's what we made of life, not victim shit like today
@MsWonderOutLoud He missed his first meeting with NZ First. They will extend another chance or three. But once he has seen the powerpoint presentation a few times, and gets a good advisor, it will all come back to plan.
@MsWonderOutLoud I think we will see gang regalia waved in the face of Police. A message will be sent, but it will be the Gangs that send it. The Police will stand meekly by, and film it just like they do watching all the law breaking in Tangi processions.
@gotttyaa @pearce_murray Metal is still the go-to. White collar workers like the printer idea, they see metal as beyond their grasp. But for tens of thousands of machinists and jobbing engineers its childs play. Tens of thousands more mechanics, plumbers, electricians could manage metal as well.
