@bernier_matt It was like playing Raven arcade game.
Get too far forward, assume you got blown up, but 3 seconds later you’re back at the bottom of the screen and get another minute for your quarter.
Unfortunately I bet Baeza for like the 10th time in a row.
@ToddTTV@Saratoga1863@AlbanyAirport@FOXSports Please print a couple of these friendly reminders of what NYC media will say if Derby/ Preakness winner skips Belmont because of race timing.
@TheNYRA@NYRABets Lived in NYC for 20 years but no longer do. Consider this my “public comment” for why Belmont should be moved back one week to increase odds of another Triple Crown opportunity.
@loomsboldly@theTDN@InTheMoneyMedia Liven in NYC 20 years and NYRA will get creamed the minute people know a triple crown candidate won’t go to Belmont because it’s too adverse to the animal’s health.
At the end of the day NYRA should be focused on pleasing New Yorkers who actually go to Belmont Stakes.
@loomsboldly@theTDN@InTheMoneyMedia Fox position should be the same with or without Preakness - they want a big ratings day? Tell NYRA to bump a week.
Personally I would like to see BS Racing Festival go two weeks. So split the Friday / Saturday stakes two weekends with races feeding Saratoga on 1st weekend.
@andyserling As someone who went to the Belmont Stakes 10x and Belmont Park for live racing 2x would be nice if NYRA split the 12 stakes races over 2 weekends.
Yes, pushing Stakes back.
No idea about logistics but if goal is to draw fans to new Belmont this could be a good catalyst.
@RacingDFS I think they push back.
The city seems to care when a Triple Crown is on the line.
If a horse wins the Derby and the Preakness and skips the Belmont there’s a lot of downside for NYRA.
Not from Twitter people or degenerates or racing fans but locals.
@billytheslov@raypaulick@GovKathyHochul Maybe, maybe not.
Think they were vague on scheduling because they expected this. Only date locked is Travers.
Not every horse is going to run in every race.
I doubt a Triple Crown winner runs in both Matt Winn and Jim Dandy, even with the $5mm bonus.
