Having a fun time at a beautiful wedding in downtown San Francisco.
So pleasantly surprised that I barely ran across one homeless person, when previously there were dozens on every block camped out in tents and shooting up on street corners.
Key factors include expanded shelter capacity, increased housing, and active, targeted encampment outreach.
There’s hope after all!
Had a terrific time at the @PAFFNOW with renowned Haitian-American film director Raynald Leconte at the premiere of his deeply introspective historical saga “Amazing Grace: YorubaWorlds”.
Co-produced by legendary Nigerian filmmaker Tunde Kelani and anchored by Wole Soyinka, the first Black Nobel Laureate in Literature, YorubaWorlds offers a 360-degree immersive dive into the Yoruba diaspora across Africa, the Americas, and Europe.
It chronicles the survival of Yoruba spiritual traditions, music, and philosophy over thousands of years, despite the history of colonization and the transatlantic slave trade.
Attending the wedding of the son of my dear friend and long-term client, Dr. Bankole Osuntokun, was a fun experience.
Nigerian weddings are something to behold. Choke full of historical culture and tradition, they feature colorful clothing, great music, beautiful dancing and tons of spraying (aka making it rain!).
Congratulations to the beautiful new couple.
@NBA All-Star @cedceballos teamed up with Nick Waggoner, Vice President at The Pacific Group, at my place in LA to chat about how we can keep helping American families save, invest, cut down on taxes they don’t need to pay, and help their money grow.
Because “it’s not what you make that matters; it’s how much you keep.”
Looks like the tiny city of Bowling Green, Ky may have just found the answer to our extraordinarily high divorce rates: 50-50 custody for both parents! https://t.co/OSJO4mAKg2
I admire the resilience of individual investors who stood firm during the recent tariff-induced market turbulence, showcasing wisdom that surpassed billion-dollar hedge funds. https://t.co/fMOhI0GGvj
California, our very own Golden State, has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing Japan to claim the title of the 4th largest economy globally🚀. Go Cali!! https://t.co/aVFCW645Bn
Today, 46 million Americans carry student debt, with millions of those in default. This burden limits dreams, careers, and financial freedom. It's time to rethink saving. Let’s empower the next generation with real choices, not just debt.

Recently had the privilege of working with @ericadamsfornyc and his team — an incredible experience! Shared my vision to help low-income kids access college funds, and his team quickly pledged support. Excited to consider NYC for our next HQ and to support the community.
America's wealth gap is widening: the top 10% earn 9x more than the bottom 90%, and the top 1% earn 39x more. With $1.6 trillion in student debt, millions are trapped in a cycle, unable to build wealth or pursue dreams. This crisis is defining the future of our economy.
Over 45M Americans owe $1.7T in student loans, while 60% of families lack a college savings plan. Financial literacy is key to planning ahead. By understanding financial tools, we can help the next generation pursue education without the burden of debt.

This month we celebrate Black History in honor of the vital contributions of Black Americans in shaping this country. Diversity drives innovation, benefiting society and businesses. We should celebrate Black trailblazers who challenge the status quo and inspire progress.
I applaud President Trump for his visit to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles and his commitment to helping our city regain its great spirit. Our losses are significant, but our faith remains unwavering. https://t.co/pJaW99hdU2
Congratulations to @PhyllisDickers5 for her induction into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame. As CEO of @OurMayors, Phyllis is dedicated to creating equal opportunities for underserved communities and addressing wealth disparities in our nation.
It was a pleasure spending time recently with Congressman @BobbyScott4VA3 from Virginia, the ranking member of the Education & Labor Committee, discussing the inequities in our nation’s higher education funding system and its disproportionate impact on lower income Americans.
It was a privilege to join @NYCMayor and other member mayors and business council members at the inaugural @OurMayors technology and public safety summit in NYC.
Had a great time with @mayorofla last Friday discussing her dynamic agenda that includes solving the homeless crisis, public safety and affordable housing.
