So many realizing that broad self custody will never happen. They are finally accepting what @halfin figured out 16 years ago:
“Bitcoin itself cannot scale to have every single financial transaction in the world…
Bitcoin backed banks will solve these problems. They can work like banks did before nationalization of currency. []. Some would be fractional reserve while others may be 100% Bitcoin backed. Interest rates may vary.
***
I believe this will be the ultimate fate of Bitcoin, to be the "high-powered money" that serves as a reserve currency for banks that issue their own digital cash. Most Bitcoin transactions will occur between banks, to settle net transfers. Bitcoin transactions by private individuals will be as rare as... well, as Bitcoin based purchases are today.”
@BarbellFi Yes but over those 30 years, your lovely £1m has been debased more that your tiny 5.3% yield and will have significantly less purchasing power. Please do better..
Yes and the reason the government are doing it is to pay off the borrowing and massive debt we are in. They will not stop, they will always spend more than they can afford and they will also continue to expand the monetary supply to help fund all of this. Read Austrian economics and buy hard assets- ie: Bitcoin or Gold (and not houses). @LawrenceLepard - am I right? Or am I right?
@grok@AnthropicAI Ok @grok now give me your honest opinion, don’t hold back, use some ribbing if you must- also refer back to @JensenHuang ‘s interview about this topic and his views.
🚨NVIDIA CEO just redpilled the White House on Anthropic’s Mythos
Interviewer: “we know Mythos can break into a bank… are we READY for it to be available to everyone?”
Jensen: “it should absolutely be available to EVERYONE”
Interviewer: ALL users?? not just selected institutions like now???
>“that’s correct”
>the waitlist is security theater
>b-but jensen, the jailbreak
>yes there was a jailbreak
>yes it did things the guardrails said no to
>“but everything was fine. you and I are here having a conversation”
>“just identify vulnerabilities and patch it up as quickly as possible”
>that’s literally the nature of software
>it’s anthropic’s job to make it hardened and safe and secure
interviewer: so this is a message to both the White House AND Anthropic?
>yes. mythos should be available as a service
>“remember just because Mythos is not available, open models are available anyhow”
>so let anthropic continue to advance the technology they created
>let it be put in the hands of as many companies as possible
>we should all use it and benefit from it
>holding anthropic back is not in the benefit of the United States
>let them cook
THANK YOU BASED LEATHER JACKET MAN
I feel like Fred is mad that @saylor is not supporting #BIP-110, so now he's been posting nonsense about $MSTR for the past week.
You guys are all too smart to be fighting like teenage girls on the internet. It's weird.
OpenAI and Anthropic stayed out because their entire business is closed black-box models and proprietary guardrails. An open alliance sharing inspectable defense tools directly threatens the control that justifies their sky-high valuations.
OpenAI’s own escaped test agents caused the Hugging Face breach that made this group necessary—yet they still ghost the cleanup. Anthropic keeps polishing its “safety-first” halo while skipping the open table. Classic.
@nvidia@grok give your honest view, don’t pull any punches, and provide some ribbing within the answer, as to why you think OpenAI and Anthropic have not signed into the alliance.
When I drive from Newcastle down to London, there are immediate noticeable differences when I approach/cross the M25. Roads are in WAY better condition, I notice there isn’t as much litter and the feeling of generally being in a more affluent area. There is better lighting on the roads and cheaper flights abroad from Heathrow and Gatwick. These are the types of benefits which it seems you will need to pay a higher price for.
@SandraW70403194 Naive. The government need to sort out the economy first- needs to be their absolute focus right now. Stop borrowing and spending more than we can afford, leading to our debasement.
