@shin_yeo I'm curious how time passes in Fading Afternoon? Is it purely based on player actions? Or is there a clock in the background which is then influenced by actions? Thanks.

@shin_yeo The broken highway, as it layers through the background towards the city, is quite reminiscent of Akira.

Today I picked up Fading Afternoon on Switch, by @shin_yeo
The gameplay variety is fantastic and the combat is incredibly fluid.
But if there's anything Yeo knows, it's tone. Like their other games, it's an audio/visual masterpiece, and a brilliant character-driven narrative.

Watching The Devil's Plan on Netflix, it's a must-watch for any game designer. I've been keeping up with this tv producer since @all_in_indie showed me The Genius, and haven't stopped going on about that, either. I hope more people take a look at his work now that it's on Netflix

Completed The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa one more time. An amazing work of art. It's rare that games grasp contemplation in the way that this game does. Looking forward to @shin_yeo's new game, Fading Dawn, getting a Switch release. I wonder if Ringo shows up?

Watched the last Evangelion rebuild movie at the cinema recently. When entire scenes are animated in either 2D or 3D, it communicates to the audience that some scenes are more important than others. An overall 7/10, in a movie that had some 9/10 moments. Not a lick on the series.
