@ShamsCharania@ESPNNBA The paucity of the contract says the quiet party out loud. Nobody in the NBA wanted him and his diva baggage so he took table scraps to desperately chase one more title and somehow burnish his goat delusions. It’s ironic, his insecurities and legacy shopping are quite Trumpian.
@NUCLRGOLF It is the duty of solo player to ask how busy is the course at sign-in. Staff should advise a solo if course play is brisk. I play alone often to work on my game but choose slackest times so I can play quickly. 4 holding up 1 on a slow day is dick move. If busy, 1 plan better.
@JBoudouris I suspect most tickets sold on StubHub were purchased for the purpose of reselling at an exorbitant markup. A system requiring ticket buyers to actually attend the events would eliminate most of these “horror” stories. Sad for real vics but I bet most are vics of own greed.
@FastbreakHoops5 Yes. The gather step(s) is a fabricated NBA rule interpretation to increase “ entertainment and excitement” at the expense of the integrity of the game. Anytime your feet hit the ground three times without a dribble. It’s traveling.
@GolfDigest Hopefully not. He’s a phony douchebag who co-opted the contrived aw shucks persona that the original aw shucks phony douchebag, Phil tossed aside in pursuit of LIV blood $. The “bro” golf fans so well described by Danny Willet’s brother in 2016 root for that clown. Perfect match.
@ESPNNBA@MarcJSpears The person who needs the ball the last few seconds is Reaves. Also, LA would never have the stones to do it but to increase their playoff chances in 2026 cutting LeBron is the move. At this point, He’s a pathetic hanger on who is just padding his stats.
@mchappell51 Halls of fame should be a pyramid with each level needing a specific # of votes. Players get a single up and down vote for enshrinement. Guys retired 40 years ago waiting to get in is like pitifully standing outside the rope line at a club all night hoping to get in at last call.
@DannyParkins Hall of Fames need levels of greatness with a voting threshold for each level. Every player has 1 time up or down vote for inclusion. If you’re not hall of fame worthy at your career’s conclusion, you don’t belong. Voted in after 1st round is like being picked up at last call.
@modernhistory Serious question? Tom Cruise is the only actor in the photo. Van Damme,Stallone (except for Rocky 1) and Arnold are one note Johnnies who only appeal to single digit IQs. Jackie Chan appeals to the same demographic but he is a bit more charming.
@nut_history By today’s diluted standards of a hall of fame career nobody on this list qualifies. Beltran and Jones were laughable picks. It isn’t a hall of very good. It would be more practical and legit for tiered hall of fame levels and a single up or down vote. You’re worthy or not.
@Frankie_Vision His game is quite impressive at his age though as is with most of today’s phenoms, how much of what we’re seeing is falsely enhanced by referees now allowing shifting pivots and continuous palming on literally every move.
@NBA I must admit the game is easier to play and score in when you can take 4 steps. The gather step/hop is in service to attracting causal fans at the expense of the integrity of the game.
Kobe is the only player in the last 20 years truly worthy of all time status. Sorry LeBron.
