Journal page from Feb. 14, 2026. One of the most beautiful nature descriptions I have ever encountered. More than 150 years ago, Carolina Parakeets flourished. These bright-colored birds made early settlers stop and admire their beauty. The last Carolina parakeet died in 1918.
