Taste is actually quite subtle. On the light-side for a stout. Coffee aftertaste is very clear, has that slight sharp edge of a fresh bean. Could be described as a session stout!
Trying out a pint of @bathales new(?) lager, Sulis. Light and refreshing, good for greasing the old laughing muscles working for @bellylaughs2 at @BBlockPizza. (Shot from the green room)
A blood orange margarita at @cargocantina for @bellylaughs2. A fresh and fruity, yet smooth twist on a classic. El Jimador Blanco makes this glass of freshness the perfect start to an evening of food yes, but also of comedy.
Fucked about and got a bottle of Cascina Val del Prete on a Tuesday. Very rounded for a white, tasting notes say mango and banana and I’m certainly getting both of those in a fruity medley punch. Deep but clean, a pleasure.
A rose negroni at Rock Salt, the new Chinese & Indian restaurant in Bristol. An aromatic alternative to the orange traditional. Could do with being punchier in the mouth and less in the nose. Good though.
A bottle of @gustoorganic’s real cherry cola. A delicious blend of sweet cherries (think the candied flavour of glacé cherries) and a warm but not overpowering cola. New favourite cola I think.
A Dunkin’ Coffee Porter by @harpoonbrewery from my @Beer52HQ delivery today. Delicious coffee notes without being too in-your-face with it. Smokey but lighter than a usual dark coffee porter.
BOOM! 🥳 What a fantastic evening at the @soilassociation#boomawards! Lots of laughs & lots of good food and drink. I didn’t win but am v proud to be a finalist in the ‘Best Organic Food Blogger’ category! Well done to @gluts_gluttony - a deserving winner! Go #organic! 🙌🏻 🏆
