Pooh took a large lick. “Yes,” he said. “It is honey. And honey, I should say, right down to the bottom of the jar. Unless, of course, somebody put cheese in at the bottom for a joke. Perhaps I’d better go a LITTLE further… just in case Heffalumps don’t like cheese.” ~A.A.Milne
If people ask me,
I always answer,
“Quite well, thank you, how are you today?”
I always answer,
I always tell them,
If they ask me
Politely…
BUT SOMETIMES
I wish
That they wouldn’t.

An overwhelming stench of hypocrisy: The people howling about Stefanovic’s right to freedom of speech are pretty much the same bullies who tried to cancel Cathy Wilcox for this cartoon. https://t.co/vCyURMKobr
It was a Special Pencil Case. There were pencils marked “B” for Bear, and “HB” for Helping Bear. There was a ruler for ruling lines for the words to walk on, and Blue Pencils and Red Pencils and Green Pencils for saying things in blue and red and green. ~A.A.Milne
On Monday, when the sun is hot
I wonder to myself a lot:
“Now is it true, or is it not,
“That what is which and which is what?”
On Wednesday, when the sky is blue,
And I have nothing else to do,
I sometimes wonder if it’s true
That who is what and what is who.

Gina Rinehart - Pauline Hanson's financial backer & policy advisor - wants to give Aboriginal land to Israel & Elon Musk for them to develop weapons of mass destruction...
How is this not front page news???
I worked in the Canberra press gallery as a very young ABC journalist. The senior people then were of high standing - experienced, knowledgeable, honest, ethical. They were reporters, not political players. God, how it’s changed. You wouldn’t feed 90% of them today.
“Rabbit,” said Pooh to himself. “I LIKE talking to Rabbit,” He talks about sensible things. He doesn’t use long, difficult words, like Owl. He uses short, easy words, like ‘What about lunch?’ And ‘Help yourself, Pooh.’ I suppose, REALLY, I ought to go and see Rabbit.” ~A.A.Milne
Piglet knew he had done all that he could to save himself.
“So now,” he thought, “somebody else will have to do something, and I hope they will do it soon.” And then he gave a very long sigh and said, “I wish Pooh were here. It’s so much more friendly with two. ~A.A.Milne
“For my father, the country was where you went to ride a bicycle, climb a hill, look for birds’ nests, play golf. He couldn’t just BE in the country, sitting or strolling aimlessly. It had to be a proper walk, with purpose. And you had to be with somebody.” ~C.R.Milne
“I’m Piglet.”
Christopher Robin shook his head.
“Oh, you’re not Piglet. I know Piglet well, and he’s quite a different colour.”
Piglet began to say that this was because he had just had a bath.
“I shall call it Pootel,” said Christopher Robin. “Henry Pootel for short.”~A.A.Milne
“My ambition for mankind is that wherever we go we do not totally destroy ourselves on the way. If we fail in this, it will be on account of our strength. Man today is too powerful: he can inflict too much damage.” ~C.R.Milne
Pooh sat down and thought. “I have been Foolish and Deluded,” said he, “and I am a Bear of No Brain at All.”
“You’re the Best Bear in All the World,” said Christopher Robin soothingly.
“Am I?” said Pooh hopefully. And he brightened up suddenly. ~A.A.Milne
James James
Morrison Morrison
Weatherby George Dupree
Took great
Care of his Mother,
Though he was only three.
James James
Said to his Mother,
“Mother,” he said, said he;
“You must never go down to the end of the town,
if you don’t go down with me.”

Pooh could get his chin on the bottom rail if he wanted to, but it was more fun to lie down and get his head under it, and watch the river slipping away beneath him… and it slipped away very slowly, being in no hurry to get there. ~A.A.Milne
